OUR FOOD

Our main goal is to provide an immersive space where people come together and experiences are found.

We are not just another Japanese

Restaurant, we take the most primitive culinary expression that is cooking on fire to a higher level, transforming flavor into a visual performance, and working with two very popular styles of food:

Peruvian and Japanese.

Our flavors are infinite –just like our view.

OUR CHEFS

Our chefs are a group of creative minds that honor and respect many traditional techniques and ingredients of Japanese &  Peruvian cuisine focusing on our Robata (Japanese-style grill).

All these elements combined with the view are what make KUMO unique.

Chef Marielis Kumo Rooftop Japanese Restaurant

MARIELYS
HERNÁNDEZ NAZARIO

EXECUTIVE CHEF

"My mission at KUMO will always be to express myself through concepts and dishes that motivate our guests to open their palate and mind to an out-of-this-world gastronomic experience.

I've enjoyed so much watching KUMO come to life and how all the ideas from a group of passionate people have materialized. But watching how others believe in it makes everything special too.

People come to KUMO because it's a perfect balance, not just for the flavors and fusions in the kitchen, but also for atmosphere paired with a creative cocktail bar.

That's why more than making delicious food, I want guests to have and live an experience where they can

feel other cultures –by local hands."

Chef Rey Kumo Rooftop Japanese Restaurant

REY MIGUEL
SANTIAGO ORONA

CHEF DE CUISINE

"The best part of working at KUMO for me has been the opportunity to open my mind to create something from scratch with Chef Marielys and see its development and evolution.

Since the beginning, the chemistry we've forged within the team is driven by passion, discipline, and a lot of love for what we do.

One of the best examples of our craftsmanship is the

Duck Leg Chaufa dish. It is a perfect representation of how the flavors and techniques between Chef Marielys and I come together to bring a unique experience for our guests through food.

I hope that all the elements make our guests have a 'VERY EASY!'  and unforgettable evening!"
